In response to the recent fire incident at Wang Fuk Court, Tai Po, Sino Group and the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation immediately pledged HKD 20 million to support relief efforts. At the same time, a total of 160 guest rooms were promptly reserved at Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel, The Royal Pacific Hotel and The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong, to provide free temporary accommodation for affected residents in need, with the aim of easing the burden of securing shortterm housing during this emergency.

In response to the urgent needs of residents following the incident, Sino Group swiftly coordinated the provision of daily necessities and deployed volunteer teams to the HKSKH The Church of Our Saviour Social Service Centre – Jockey Club Family Express at Tai Po, where meal boxes and hot soup were delivered to the public each day. Through these practical efforts, the Group hopes to bring warmth and support to the community, standing together in solidarity to overcome the challenges ahead.

Meanwhile, the Group swiftly procured and arranged the delivery of 880 beds, over 1,200 mattresses, 500 televisions, 300 refrigerators, and other essential supplies to temporary accommodation across various districts within a short period of time. More than 300 volunteers were mobilised to provide technical support, internet installation and unit cleaning services, completing cleaning and furniture installation for over 130 residential units.

In addition, Sino Group and Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation prepared care packs and children’s toys for families staying at its hotels, and made necessary transport arrangements for children who needed to travel to and from Tai Po for school, with the aim of providing more comprehensive support to affected families during this difficult time.
