The Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation (NTFCF) has committed HK$2 million to support efforts to enhance stroke and epilepsy care in Hong Kong, with a focus on improving access to care and supporting patient recovery. The funding will contribute to strengthening diagnostic capabilities and rehabilitation services across three major medical institutions. This includes supporting the development of a Home Ambulatory Electroencephalogram (EEG) programme and the enhancement of long-term EEG monitoring at Queen Mary Hospital, providing additional support for the care of individuals living with epilepsy.

The Foundation is also supporting HKU Stroke in extending access to telerehabilitation services for stroke patients, helping facilitate continued care beyond hospital settings. In addition, funding will be provided to the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine at Tung Wah Hospital for the procurement of therapeutic devices to assist physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and speech and swallowing therapists in their work. Through these initiatives, NTFCF seeks to make a modest contribution towards improving patient care and supporting the well-being of the community.
