The Foundation delighted to sponsor the remarkable exhibition ‘Shaping the Human Body: Florentine Sculpture of the Italian Renaissance’, a spectacular display of ten important Renaissance sculptures that exemplify stylistic developments from the 14th to 16th century.
Organised and curated by The University of Hong Kong (HKU), the University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG), and supported by the Marco Polo Society and the Italian Consulate-General in Hong Kong and Macau, the exhibition has been held at the HKU University Museum and Art Gallery through 12 August 2018. The exhibition includes works sourced from the Bellini Collection of Florence, Italy, as well as examples from the McCarthy Collection in London.
Ms Nikki Ng, Director of the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation and Group General Manager of Sino Group, said, ‘We are delighted to support this wonderful exhibition, which features masterpieces rarely seen out of Italy. This exhibition provides us with a unique opportunity to promote appreciation of arts from the Italian Renaissance to the wider community as part of our efforts to make arts accessible to all.’
