In 2011, the Ng family donated SG$125 million to support the development of Jurong General Hospital while it was still under construction. This landmark contribution led to the establishment of the JurongHealth Fund, which supports health-related services for the Singapore community. In recognition of the donation, the hospital was renamed Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, and together with Jurong Community Hospital, it formed Singapore’s first integrated healthcare hub.
The Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Community Hospital have since received multiple accolades, including: Green Mark Platinum Award 2013 by the Building Construction Authority of Singapore, Finalist (Health – Completed Buildings) from World Architecture Festival 2016, Berlin, and Honor Award from American Institute of Architects Hong Kong Honor Award for Architecture 2016.
In 2014, the Ng family further contributed SG$52 million to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to launch the Ng Teng Fong Healthcare Innovation Programme. This initiative was designed to enhance patient care through innovation and training across major hospitals and medical institutions in Singapore.
