Starting in 2025, the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation will donate RMB 1 million in phases to the VIVA China Children’s Cancer Foundation, supporting its mission to improve treatment outcomes for children diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia.
This donation will fund a clinical research group studying 16,000 children diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) across 26 hospitals in Hong Kong and mainland China. ALL is the most prevalent form of childhood cancer, accounting for approximately 40% of all cases.
The funds will be allocated to key research activities, including data collection and analysis, central laboratory testing, and travel support for medical professionals. Through this contribution, the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation aims to help sustain the impactful work of the clinical study group, improve cure rates for ALL, and bring renewed hope to thousands of families.
