The Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation donated HK$10 million to support the Hong Kong Chronicles Institute in its mission to compile the city’s first-ever comprehensive historical record. The Institute undertook the ambitious task of documenting Hong Kong’s natural geography, political development, economic evolution, social changes, cultural milestones, and human stories across the centuries. The Hong Kong Chronicles served not only as a historical guide but also as an authoritative resource to inform and inspire future generations of Hong Kong people.
