Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation donated around 4,200 gift packs to 42 elderly homes on 21 & 22 August to support their frontline colleagues who had been putting in much effort to take care of the elderly during the COVID-19 situation.
The gift packs customised for the needs of colleagues working at elderly homes included nutrition drinks, vitamin tablets, pain relief patches and disinfection products. With the support of over 20 volunteers, around 4,200 gift packs were prepared for the 2-day delivery.
The beneficiaries included The Chinese Rhenish Church Hong Kong Synod, Heung Hoi Ching Kok Lin Association, Hong Kong Christian Service, Kiangsu Chekiang and Shanghai Residents (Hong Kong) Association, Sik Sik Yuen, The Women’s Welfare Club (Eastern District) Hong Kong, and others.
