Sino Group (‘the Group’) and Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation (‘NTFCF’) have partnered with community organisations to celebrate the Chinese New Year with over 6,000 underprivileged children and individuals, sharing the festive spirit and providing necessary support. The Group's volunteer team visited various districts to distribute gift packs to the elderly and families in need, and also organised activities for local students and those from ethnic minorities to learn about traditional customs. NTFCF also distributed red packets to underprivileged children, spreading joy at the start of the new year.

Ms Nikki Ng, Director of Philanthropy of Sino Group and Director of the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation, said, "Chinese New Year is a time for joy and togetherness. Our hope has been to bring festive cheer to underprivileged families, children, and the elderly. I sincerely thank all our colleagues for being bearers of well-wishes for those in need during this special season. They organised a warm luncheon for the elderly and visited kindergartens to make New Year decorations and share traditional delicacies. The initiative enabled local and non-Chinese speaking children to engage with Chinese culture, enhancing their sense of participation in the celebrations. This year, we also distributed red packets to underprivileged children, enabling them to purchase New Year gifts and enjoy a prosperous start to the year."

The Group also hosted a Chinese New Year luncheon at the Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel for over 400 elderly individuals living alone or in pairs. They enjoyed games, received gifts, and watched entertaining performances in a lively and warm atmosphere. The ‘Sino Caring Friends’ volunteer team also visited various districts to share New Year greetings, distribute gift packs at Community Living Rooms in Sham Shui Po and Hung Hom, and make home visits to underprivileged families.
