The Foundation funded the collaboration between top-tier universities from China and Singapore through a donation of RMB 150 million.
To mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the People’s Republic of China and Singapore, three universities from each country signed three Memoranda of Understanding with each other, building on existing strong collaborations in student and faculty exchanges, and joint research and development.
The universities and their respective partners are Tsinghua University and the National University of Singapore (NUS), Peking University and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), as well as Zhejiang University and the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
Mr. Robert Ng, Chairman of the Ng Teng Fong Charitable Foundation and Chairman of Sino Group, said, 'The Foundation was honored to support the collaboration. We sincerely hope that these partnerships between universities in both countries will promote better mutual understanding, learning, and cultural exchange, benefiting both researchers and students.
